Welcome to the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin
The Church of Saint Mary the Virgin offers a loving community and a vibrant Christian faith in the Episcopal tradition.
While our church is in Falmouth, our Parish family comes from many surrounding communities, from Freeport to Scarborough to Windham, as well as Portland, Cumberland and Yarmouth.
The Episcopal Church is part of The Anglican Communion, a confederation of 70 million people throughout the world who share a common heritage in The Church of England. The Anglican Church (or Episcopal, in this country) combines the Catholic sacramental life with the Protestant emphasis on a personal relationship with God, democratic decision-making within the parish, and a real commitment to the Ministry of the Laity.
